New Job

Overwhelmed and discombobulated.  I'll be back on the blogosphere as soon as I settle in.

Really? A new job? Where? Doing what?

Jean, I'm kind of the site director for our primary school. My principal is the head of both of our campuses, the primary center and the main campus. I'm primarily her support system. I'm only interim, most likely for just this year and then I'll either retire or go back to teaching for a year or two more.

So that's what that post about saying goodbye to a class was about? Not just a class but a teacher's job?

Whatever it is, enjoy what you're doing. You'll be good at it, I'm certain of that.

And there was I, thinking you were lounging around on the beach, reading chicklit.

Best wishes coming your way for sorting everything out. We'll be here.

I have missed some of your posts. In my search for the post Friko mentioned, I have enoyed and laughed my way through Birth Control, Naked Bike Riding, and the Culture of Teaching.

A job! A job! Right now, I don't think I could get hired for a thing in this world in my town, so this comment is green with envy!

Be gentle on yourself.

Hurry back. I want to hear about your new job. Are you staying out west? Dianne

Nance, it's a new job with the same organization, so I wasn't really having to sell myself, which I can no longer do. The job is back in Atlanta.

Well if you can't write perhaps we will settle for an interpretive dance expressing your discombobulation but only until you get your bearings... then it's back to lighting up our lives with you unique and humorous perspective, sister!
